Rather than depicting confrontation, the piece centers on Christ lowering himself to the woman's level: two still, grounded figures below a raised, tense crowd still gripping stones, with one stone already dropped alone in the foreground. Offered as a single, unfinished response to a season of prayer rather than part of a series. Reflection: Written after the drawing session His hand went down before any word did. I knelt with that a long time before I let the pencil move — not the crowd, not the stones, just his finger meeting the same dirt I was already carrying. Psalm and accusation both fell quiet. What stayed was this: he did not stand over me to judge. He came down to where I already was. The stone in the sand is still there, untouched. So is his hand, level with mine.
